European states are asking the US to strengthen security guarantees for Ukraine. To this end, they have requested US President Donald Trump to deploy F-35 fighter jets in Romania.
The editorial office reports that the construction of NATO's largest air base in Europe is currently underway in Romania. This base is intended as a key defense stronghold against Russia's influence in the region.
According to information, European countries also want guarantees for the use of GPS and intelligence support from US satellites. Furthermore, they demand the delivery of “Patriot” and “Nasams” anti-aircraft missile systems to Ukraine, as well as permission for reconnaissance aircraft flights over the Black Sea.
Donald Trump had previously ruled out the deployment of US troops on Ukrainian territory. However, he stated his readiness to provide air support as part of US security guarantees.
