An event was organized by the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in connection with November 8 – Victory Day.
At the event, Ulvi Mehdiyev, Chairman of the State Agency, met with "ASAN xidmət" employees who are family members of martyrs, veterans, and war veterans.
First, the dear memory of our martyrs was honored with a minute of silence, and the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played.
Ulvi Mehdiyev stated that we are celebrating the 5th anniversary of Victory Day, one of the most glorious pages of our nation, with great joy and pride. He emphasized that five years ago, thanks to the iron will of Victorious Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev and the bravery of the valiant Azerbaijani Army, our lands were liberated, and the justice our people had longed for for decades was restored. It was also noted that this Victory is a triumph of both our unity and our strength, and an eternal source of pride for future generations.
The fathers of our martyrs - Babek Ramaldanov, Ibrahim Sadigli, and Nurlan Aghakishiyev - Meyvaddin Ramaldanov, Shahin Sadigov, and Etibar Aghakishiyev, emphasized that they celebrate this day with a sense of pride and reverence. They stated that their children sacrificed their lives for the freedom and sovereignty of our homeland, demonstrating an example of heroism, and that their bravery will live forever in the memory of our people.
Heroes of the Patriotic War, Mirdamat Baghiyev and Azer Abdullazade, stated that the bravery and loyalty shown on the battlefield demonstrated the unity of our people and the might of our Army. They noted that this Victory is a glorious history achieved through the blood of our martyrs and the sacrifice of our soldiers and officers.
A video clip dedicated to Victory Day was shown at the event, and patriotic performances were presented with the participation of renowned art figures.
It should be noted that "ASAN xidmət" employs approximately 300 staff members who are family members of martyrs and war veterans, or who hold war veteran status.
