Arzu Baghirova met with Fuad Mammadov

A business meeting was held between Arzu Baghirova, Chair of the Regional Legal and Economic Enlightenment Public Union (RLEPU), and Prof. Dr. Fuad Mammadov, President of Simurg - Azerbaijan Culture Association, a prominent public and scientific figure, and culturologist-scientist.

During the meeting, Arzu Baghirova provided the professor with detailed information about the necessity of establishing the union she leads, its areas of activity, implemented projects, and initiatives planned for the current year. She particularly emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation among civil society institutions and relevant NGOs, noting the significance of inter-organizational synergy for social development.

Professor Fuad Mammadov, President of Simurg - Azerbaijan Culture Association, commented on the systematic state support provided for the development of non-governmental organizations and civil society institutions in general. He emphasized the strategic importance of the targeted policy implemented in this field, and provided information about the local and international projects carried out by the Association he leads for over 30 years.

Professor Mammadov also touched upon the main tasks facing Azerbaijani civil society institutions in the context of modern challenges, noting the importance of more effective coordination of public initiatives and institutional development. At the same time, he specifically emphasized the significance of the “Azerbaijani Culture–2040” state program, highlighting that this document plays a strategic role not only for the field of culture and art but also for the development of society as a whole.

The meeting was attended by Akbar Goshaly, laureate of the International “Alash” Literary Award, Gular Baghirova, Deputy Chair of RLEPU, and Nilufar Latif Abbasova, project coordinator.

The meeting took place in an atmosphere of mutual exchange of views, where opportunities for future cooperation and the implementation of joint projects were discussed, including the organization of master classes in culturology by Fuad Mammadov for RLEPU members.

Arzu Baghirova and Fuad Mammadov expressed their interest in continuing cooperation to expand initiatives that will contribute to the development of civil society.
