AMADA declares April 15 – May 15 as "Fair Sport Month"

The Azerbaijan National Anti-Doping Agency (AMADA) has declared April 15 – May 15 as "Fair Sport Month" in our country.

This was announced by the agency.

It was stated that the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has declared April 17 as "Play True Day" globally. This day, dedicated to the values of clean sport, aims to raise awareness among athletes, the sports community, and other stakeholders regarding the global fight against doping.

Joining WADA's initiative every year, AMADA has declared April 15 – May 15, 2026, as "Fair Sport Month" in our country.

WADA has called for "Play True Day," which is celebrated annually in various formats, to be widely promoted this year through digital platforms. The supreme anti-doping body recommends that this year the day be held under the slogan "Fair play starts with you" and that related posts be shared with the hashtag #PlayTrueDay.

Within the framework of "Fair Sport Month – 2026," in addition to sharing posts related to this day on AMADA's various social media channels, educational events are planned to be organized in the regions of Azerbaijan, meetings held in various educational institutions, and events realized in cooperation with sports federations. Furthermore, social media campaigns and public advocacy projects are also envisioned.

WADA has been celebrating "Play True Day" every April since 2014. This significant day, celebrated on different dates, falls on April 17 in 2026. "Play True Day" has been widely celebrated internationally for 12 years now.
