On July 03–06, 2025, the I Asian Championship for Alpaqut Turan martial art, held with the participation of 13 countries in Shymkent, Republic of Kazakhstan, concluded.
At the championship, 10 athletes represented Aghdam district as part of the Azerbaijan national team for Alpaqut Turan martial art.
Of them, 5 won gold, 3 silver, and 2 bronze medals.
On the occasion of their achievements,
Bahruz Kazimov, Director of Aghdam Olympic Sports Complex, and Kenan Gadirli, Chief Advisor of the Youth and Sports Sector for Aghdam district, held a meeting with the athletes. During the meeting, the state's attention to sports in the country was discussed, and the athletes were wished success in their future endeavors.
