White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt shared a full screenshot of the correspondence that occurred between her and the publication HuffPost on social media.
The editorial office reports that when a HuffPost journalist asked Leavitt the question, “Who chose Budapest?”, the spokesperson gave a sarcastic answer: “Your mom chose it.” Later, the journalist posed the question, “Do you find this funny?” Leavitt, in response, wrote: “What’s funny is that you call yourself a journalist. It’s well-known that you and your friends are not taken seriously by anyone, and that you are an extreme leftist sycophant.”
The incident caused a great stir in the US media. While many media experts called Leavitt’s reaction unprofessional, some Trump supporters defended her “tough stance against provocations.”
