Following bilateral meetings in the Oval Office between Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and then-US President Donald Trump, economic agreements and trade deals worth $34.5 billion were signed between the US and Uzbekistan for US companies to implement projects in the Central Asian country. The signing of these agreements is regarded as a significant step towards strengthening economic ties and creating new investment opportunities between both countries.
Redaksiya reports that the signing of these agreements will enable US companies to invest heavily in the Uzbek economy and implement projects in various sectors, including infrastructure, energy, agriculture, and technology. This will also positively impact Uzbekistan's economic development and job creation.
During the meeting, the presidents also discussed topics such as further deepening the strategic partnership between the two countries, regional security issues, and human rights. The signing of these agreements was an important step for expanding trade relations and strengthening economic cooperation between the US and Uzbekistan. This will also enable US companies to participate more actively in the Uzbek market and contribute to the country's economy.
