US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that the war with Iran is expected to last between two and four weeks. He noted that Washington's war objectives would be achieved within this timeframe. This statement was made following a meeting of the G7 foreign ministers.

The editorial reports, citing the BBC, that US President Donald Trump announced on March 26th that he had extended his decision not to attack Iran's energy facilities by another 10 days. Trump emphasized in his social media post that this deferral decision was made based on a request from the Iranian government.

However, despite the US President's statement, Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi announced that Iran was subjected to attacks by Israel on March 27th, targeting two large steel plants, an energy facility, and civilian nuclear installations. Information was also disseminated in Iranian media about the bombing of a heavy water plant near the city of Arak and a uranium processing facility located in Ardakan. It is also reported that there were civilian casualties as a result of the attacks carried out against Tehran.
