US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee has come to the fore with his statement regarding Israel's military operations in the Gaza Strip.
The editorial office reports that the diplomat stated, "if Israel is committing genocide in Gaza, then it is failing at it," and claimed that Israel "has taken more steps than any other country, including the US," to reduce civilian casualties.
Nevertheless, as repeatedly warned by the UN and international organizations, hunger and the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip are deepening. According to local health sources, in Gaza, where Israel has imposed restrictions on food and medical aid, another 6 people have lost their lives due to hunger in the last 24 hours. This brings the total number of deaths from hunger to 175, 93 of whom were children.
Currently, the lack of permission for humanitarian aid flow into the region and severe damage to infrastructure further exacerbate the situation. The international community continues its calls for a ceasefire and aid.
