ABA Holds Meeting with AFCA Leadership in China

The leadership of the Azerbaijan Banks Association (ABA) held a business meeting with the leadership of the Asian Financial Cooperation Association (AFCA) within the framework of its official visit to the People's Republic of China.

At the meeting, organized by the Azerbaijan Bank and Finance Training Center (ABMTM), our country was represented by ABA President Zakir Nuriyev, Executive Director Yunus Abdulov, Chief Economist Azizagha Hakhverdiyev, and representatives of leading Azerbaijani banks.

Opening the meeting with an introductory speech, ABA President Zakir Nuriyev and the AFCA leadership greeted the participants and emphasized the strategic importance of cooperation established between the financial institutions of the two countries. During the event, the AFCA leadership was provided with detailed information about Azerbaijan's current macroeconomic situation, financial stability indicators, and modern trends in the banking sector. At the same time, ABA's areas of activity, services provided to member banks, and international partnership projects were highlighted.

Key outcomes of the meeting:

Official Membership Application: At the end of the event, a ceremony was held for the signing of the official application for the Azerbaijan Banks Association to become a member of AFCA.

Experience Exchange: Agreement was reached between the parties on the implementation of joint projects and the expansion of mutual experience and information exchange.

Regional Cooperation: Preliminary discussions were held regarding the possibility of holding one of AFCA's future international events in Azerbaijan. It was noted that such an initiative would make a significant contribution to strengthening regional financial cooperation.

The meeting concluded with discussions on other issues of mutual interest.
