Work is continuing in an intensified mode by the State Agency of Automobile Roads of Azerbaijan to eliminate damage caused by floodwaters to roads and artificial structures, and to clear the road's carriageway of mud, silt, and rock fragments.
According to information from the agency, intensive rainfall observed in the country in recent days has caused certain complications on some automobile roads, as well as on road infrastructure elements (bridges, culverts, etc.).
It was reported that agency employees and special equipment are being deployed to these areas, and cleaning and restoration work is being carried out promptly. At the same time, additional safety measures are being taken to ensure traffic safety, and traffic is partially restricted when necessary.
All necessary and urgent measures are being taken to ensure comfortable and safe travel on the roads.
The State Agency of Automobile Roads of Azerbaijan urges drivers, especially on roads passing through mountainous and foothill areas, to be careful, consider weather conditions, and strictly adhere to traffic rules.
