Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky set a condition for US President Donald Trump, stating that the conflict can only end with an agreement document supported by the US and European partners. In an interview with Sky News, he said, “All agreements must be documented, and Trump’s clear position is needed.”
The publication reports that Zelensky, recalling that the European Union has already imposed 18 sanction packages against Russia, emphasized that they expect a “strong sanctions package” from Washington. He added that US support would play a decisive role.
It should be recalled that on September 13, US President Donald Trump announced that serious sanctions against Russia would only be possible on the condition that NATO countries stop buying oil from Russia and simultaneously impose high tariffs against China. However, the US press had assessed these demands as “difficult to implement in reality.”
