An investigation by the Digital Investigation Center of the Electronic Security Service revealed that a web resource belonging to one of the local organizations was subjected to a cyberattack.
The Electronic Security Service (ESS) reported that cybercriminals placed malicious code and files on the server and used it for unauthorized interference with information systems in other countries.
“At the same time, users were redirected to fake phishing resources via this infrastructure. Thanks to the operational measures implemented by the Electronic Security Service, malicious files were completely removed from the server, the operational mechanisms of potential vulnerabilities were checked, and the normal functioning of the information system was restored. The Electronic Security Service once again recommends that information system owners re-evaluate the compliance of their systems and infrastructures with cybersecurity requirements and constantly monitor the implementation of necessary security measures in connection with the incident,” the agency's statement said.
