“UpToDate” Platform Launched at Yeni Klinika

For the first time in Azerbaijan, "UpToDate," one of the world's leading digital platforms based on evidence-based medicine, has been introduced at Yeni Klinika as an innovative tool for clinical decision-making, and its trial phase has been launched.

The meeting was attended by Barat Yusubov, Director of Yeni Klinika; Ms. Vildan Kandur Stanio, regional representative of "Wolters Kluwer," the creator and provider of the "UpToDate" platform, and an expert in medical innovations; Kəmalə Aşumova, national coordinator of "Ezgil Medical Technologies," the official representative of the platform in Azerbaijan; and İslam Abduləzimov, Head of the Innovative Medical Technologies Program.

Barat Yusubov provided extensive information about the work carried out at Yeni Klinika for the development and application of medical technologies, as well as the promotion of clinical protocols and modern medical recommendations, stating that the implementation of approaches based on evidence-based medicine principles is one of the priority directions in the medical institution he leads.

Vildan Kandur Stanio spoke about the innovations of the "UpToDate" platform, the advantages of the Expert AI - artificial intelligence add-on, its functional capabilities, and practical application areas. She stated that "UpToDate" not only provides access to an evidence-based medical information database but also supports physicians in the clinical decision-making process, enabling more accurate and effective development of diagnostic and treatment plans.

It was noted that the Expert AI add-on of the portal is planned to be made available to users in Azerbaijan in the near future, which will further expand the access of local healthcare professionals, especially doctors, nurses, and resident physicians, to the most modern medical knowledge and innovative solutions.
Within the framework of the meeting, participants familiarized themselves with the practical use of the platform and held extensive discussions on issues of interest to them. It was stated that the application of such innovative technologies will make a significant contribution to improving the quality of healthcare services, increasing patient satisfaction, and expanding modern medical approaches.

It should be noted that the "UpToDate" platform creates extensive opportunities in terms of accelerating digital transformation in healthcare, increasing the accessibility of medical knowledge, and improving the quality of services provided.

The application of the "UpToDate" tool specifically at Yeni Klinika will significantly contribute to both the further improvement of the quality of medical services provided to patients and the overall development of the country's healthcare.
