The 3rd “Lipid Masterclass” international scientific event was held at Yeni Klinika, jointly organized by the Turkish Society of Endocrinology and Metabolism and the Azerbaijan Society of Endocrinologists.

The main objective of the event was to strengthen the exchange of knowledge and experience among doctors, integrate evidence-based medical approaches into clinical practice, and further enhance scientific cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey.

In addition to specialists invited from Turkey, doctors working in various medical institutions across our country also participated in the scientific platform. The event was dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment, and management of dyslipidemia, one of the main risk factors for cardiovascular diseases.

At the opening ceremony, Barat Yusubov, Director of Yeni Klinika; Khayyam Eyvazov, Chairman of the Azerbaijan Society of Endocrinologists and specialist endocrinologist; Prof. Dr. Erman Çakal, Head of the Turkish Society of Endocrinology and Metabolism; and Prof. Dr. Alper Sönmez, Head of the organization's relevant research group, delivered speeches, emphasizing the strategic importance of such scientific platforms for the development of medicine in the region. During their speeches, particular emphasis was placed on the importance of further strengthening the close cooperation in healthcare between Azerbaijan and Turkey, increasing joint scientific initiatives, and systematically continuing the exchange of experience.

Within the framework of scientific sessions comprising three panels, topical issues such as lipid metabolism and the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis, familial hypercholesterolemia, diabetic dyslipidemia, and hypertriglyceridemia were extensively discussed.

At the same time, modern and practical approaches to the management of patients with dyslipidemia, lifestyle changes, statin, and other lipid-lowering treatments were shared with participants in an interactive format.
Within the “Lipid Masterclass,” modern clinical protocols, region-specific medical approaches, and the latest innovations in the treatment of lipid disorders were extensively presented with the participation of local and international specialists.

The organization of the event in both in-person and online formats allowed a wider audience of doctors to join the scientific discussions.
