This year, our capital will host one of the world's most prestigious programming competitions – the 49th International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) World Finals. The competition will take place from August 31 to September 5.
Yelo Bank, which prioritizes the development of innovation and education, is participating as the banking partner for this global event within the framework of the Azerbaijan Banks Association.
University teams selected from various countries around the world will participate in the competition. Each year, up to 70,000 students representing nearly 3,500 universities from over 110 countries compete in the official stages of ICPC. In the World Finals, 140 teams from 70 countries (each consisting of 3 students) will demonstrate their knowledge and skills.
Azerbaijani universities have been participating in the regional stages of ICPC since 2005. Over these years, significant steps have been taken to promote the programming field in the country, increase youth interest in this area, and develop existing potential. In 2024, the ADA University team made a memorable successful appearance at the World Finals held in Luxor, Egypt.
The global competition will be held in Baku with the organization of the “ICPC Foundation” and hosted by ADA University, in partnership with the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan, joint cooperation with the Agency for Innovation and Digital Development and the “ICPC Azerbaijan” community, and with the support of PASHA Holding.
