“Dormitories and Hostels. Design Norms” have been approved.
The Collegium of the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture of the Republic of Azerbaijan has made a decision regarding this.
The norm also reflects provisions related to pupil and student dormitories.
It is noted that additional study rooms, with an area determined by the project assignment, should be provided in dormitories for students of culture and art educational institutions.
...In dormitories within student campus buildings, 15% of the total places should be allocated for married students.
...The living area of a dormitory should not be less than 10 m2 per person. When a place for independent study is provided in the living room of dormitories for students and pupils, the living area per person should not be less than 12 m2.
...The living rooms of dormitories intended for learners aged 14 to 18 should be directly connected to the corridor.
