Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid made a strong statement regarding Germany's sale of "Eurofighter Typhoon" fighter jets to Turkey.
Lapid stated that this purchase threatens Israel's strategic advantage: “Turkey already possesses the largest and most powerful navy in the Middle East. Now its goal is to create balance with Israel in the airspace. And our useless government allowed this agreement to proceed without any objection”.
Accusing the government of passivity, Lapid emphasized that this issue poses serious risks from a national security perspective.
