The “Conscience” ship, belonging to the Freedom Coalition Convoy which departed from Italy with the aim of breaking Israel's blockade on Gaza, is currently moving off the coast of Crete. The ship had previously been subjected to a drone attack off the coast of Malta in May.
The editorial office reports that the Freedom Coalition, which is the second wave of the Global Sumud Convoy, is advancing towards Gaza with a total of 11 ships. Within the framework of this mission, hundreds of activists from various countries intend to deliver humanitarian aid to the region.
Meanwhile, Israel's far-right security minister Itamar Ben-Gvir stated that humanitarian activists joining the Global Sumud Convoy are being held as criminals under harsh conditions. In a video he released, he said, “members of this flotilla supporting terrorists receive the same treatment as saboteurs in the Negev camp,” directly calling the activists “terrorists.”
