Venezuela's Foreign Minister stated that a criminal network, funded by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), planned a false-flag attack against a US warship anchored in Caracas port.
According to the minister, this provocation aimed to legitimize a possible US military intervention in Venezuela. He stated that as a result of an operation carried out by Venezuelan security forces, the plan was neutralized before it could proceed to the attack phase.
The incident occurred at a time of escalating tensions in the region. Analysts believe that such claims could further exacerbate the already strained relations between Caracas and Washington.
