The agreements reached as a result of the Azerbaijan-Armenia meeting in Washington were another blow to those who previously made biased statements against Azerbaijan.
Zahid Oruc, Chairman of the Milli Majlis Human Rights Committee and MP, stated this in a statement to "Report".
According to him, after Azerbaijan's victory in the Patriotic War, a new geopolitical reality was formed in the region. This led to Azerbaijan being subjected to more attacks from a number of states and international organizations than during the occupation period:
"In fact, we made a geopolitical revolution. Our victory changed the balance of power in the region and also eliminated the tripartite management of the region through the Karabakh conflict by France, the USA, and Russia, which formed a political monopoly under the name of the Minsk Group after the First Karabakh War. This victory also stopped the wars waged by states across the global world today for their own interests in the South Caucasus. For the first time in our history, it was a geopolitics of victory that Azerbaijan itself sought to form."
He added that after Macron's France attempted to attack Azerbaijan with diplomatic and political means behind closed doors during the operations to liberate Karabakh, the European Parliament, including the newly elected Joe Biden, Antony Blinken, and members of the Caucus in Congress accompanying them, began a systematic hybrid war:
"Just 10 days after the war ended, the French Senate adopted a resolution recognizing the independence of Karabakh. When Armenia entered into political contacts with Azerbaijan, they began to manipulate the Armenian government to influence the process. European parliamentarians like Nathalie Loiseau and Raphaël Glucksmann, who breathe with Armenian funding, were controlled from France and incited the European continent's media space and organizations against us. The main target of the issue was measures against us because of our victory. But despite this, we saw President Ilham Aliyev's subsequent victories on the way to the White House summit."
He added that with the meeting held in the USA, individuals like Frank Pallone, Adam Schiff, and others in this series, who previously made biased statements against Azerbaijan, received another blow:
"They were bringing up the 907th amendment to pressure Azerbaijan. Two days ago, the 907th amendment was practically abolished at the White House summit. The children of the individuals who authored this decision in 1992 currently hold certain positions in Congress. However, Donald Trump's position is so strong that those forces cannot influence it."
Zahid Oruc emphasized that the documents initialed between Azerbaijan and Armenia will be disclosed to the public.
"This will undoubtedly strike a blow to the positions of forces attempting to speculate around us. In the 90s, this occupation against our people was carried out by the forces of Russia at that time, led by Gorbachev, as well as at the level of George Bush. The group that worked for this for many years is now in a defeated state. If there are pressures against the region, attempts to manipulate Armenia, and if communications are opened and diplomatic relations are established, then those aforementioned circles can only influence the region through provocations, terror, etc. The processes initiated for a new world order, a new system of international relations, and global security began precisely with the leadership of Ilham Aliyev's signature," he added.
