Russian-origin hacker groups named Killnet, Palach Pro, User Sec, and Beregini are alleged to have interfered with the database of the General Staff of Ukraine.
According to disseminated information, the editorial office reports that as a result of an attack carried out via malware named “Nuance,” access was gained to a database recording 1.7 million military casualties between 2022 and 2025. The leaked documents reportedly include the names of military personnel, causes of death, contact information of family members, and photographs.
The information states that 118,500 people died in 2022, 405,400 in 2023, 595,000 in 2024, and 621,000 in 2025.
Among the leaked data are reportedly personal details of high-ranking officers of Ukraine's Special Operations Forces and Main Intelligence Directorate, as well as alleged disclosures of lists of weapons sent to Ukraine from various countries between 2022 and 2025.
According to the claims, the malware was designed to operate only within Ukraine, extracting confidential information and rendering systems unrecoverable after infecting devices. The incident has raised serious questions regarding the security of Ukraine's military infrastructure and the extent of foreign interference in the conflict.
