Turkey's Ministry of National Defense announced that an unidentified flight path approaching the country's airspace from the Black Sea direction was observed. It was stated that during the initial assessment, the object's movement trajectory was closely monitored and security procedures were immediately activated.
The news desk reports that F-16 fighter jets under NATO and national control were given an urgent response order regarding the incident. As a result of the investigation, it was determined that the flight path was a drone that had lost control, and special measures were taken to prevent any risk to the civilian population.
According to the ministry, the drone was shot down and neutralized in a designated safe area away from residential settlements. The official body emphasized that no additional danger or consequences were recorded during the incident.
