Expectations continue regarding the launch of the T1 Phone, a $500 gold device claimed to be manufactured in the US. The situation surrounding this phone's market entry is increasing consumer interest.
Redaksiya reports that according to information published in the "Financial Times" newspaper, a customer support representative for "Trump Mobile" stated that the phone will not be released this month. According to the representative, the temporary shutdown of the US government has delayed the delivery of the phone. A representative for "Trump Mobile" declined to comment on this matter.
This delay is a subsequent development in the events that began with "Trump Mobile" launching its monthly mobile phone plan for $47.45 in June. The company claimed it would introduce a smartphone manufactured in the US by August 2025. However, after evidence emerged that large-scale manufacturing of the smartphone entirely in the US was nearly impossible, "Trump Mobile" retracted these claims. Currently, "Trump Mobile" continues to accept $100 deposits for the T1 Phone, which it calls "Proudly American." The phone's features include a 6.25-inch AMOLED screen, a 120Hz refresh rate, 256GB of storage with a card slot for expansion, and a 50-megapixel camera. The phone's webpage still indicates it will be released "later this year." The "Trump Mobile" website now also offers refurbished competitor phones from "Apple" and "Samsung." These include the "iPhone 15" for $629 and the "Samsung S24" for $459.
