European Leaders Join Meeting After Trump-Zelensky Talks

The meeting between US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House has concluded. The parties' talks will continue with the participation of European Union leaders.

The editorial office reports that, according to Sky News, the leaders of European Union member states monitored the meeting between Trump and Zelensky via monitors installed in a special room at the White House.

Trump told journalists that he would call Russian President Vladimir Putin after his talks with Zelensky:
“We discussed many issues with Zelensky. Today I also spoke directly with Putin. We will call him immediately after this meeting.”

The US leader noted that a trilateral meeting with the participation of European leaders is planned for the next stage. The main topic of these discussions will be "possibilities for territorial exchange." Trump added:
“Let's see if we can finalize these and close the issue.”

He also stated that Putin has agreed to provide security guarantees for Ukraine. Trump emphasized that he would review which countries and through what mechanisms these guarantees would be implemented in the coming days.
