Turkish company Tera Yatırım Holding has started negotiations to acquire Tatil Sepeti, an online travel platform. This move is part of the company's expansion strategy and its goals to diversify its investment portfolio. Tera Holding has recently come to the fore with several significant investments and is now showing interest in the tourism sector.
Redaksiya reports that Tera Yatırım Holding is preparing to make its third investment within 15 days. The company announced that it has started negotiations to acquire the online travel platform tatilsepeti.com. In a statement to KAP (Public Disclosure Platform), it was reported that within the framework of the company's growth strategy in the sectors it operates and its goals to diversify its investment portfolio, negotiations have begun with existing shareholders and discussions on project agreements regarding the acquisition of shares of DLT Turizm ve Ticaret A.Ş. (Tatil Sepeti), which operates in the tourism and technology sectors. DLT Turizm ve Ticaret A.Ş. owns tatilsepeti.com, one of Turkey's leading online travel platforms, offering hotel reservation and tour sales services under this platform.
Tera Holding had previously acquired Sampo Rosenlew, a 172-year-old Finnish agricultural machinery manufacturer, from the Indian company Mahindra & Mahindra on September 29. Later, on October 10, it announced that it had chosen the Asia-Pacific region as the investment area for its second bank. While the company stated that it had started negotiations for the acquisition of the bank and that discussions were ongoing, it did not disclose the country where the bank is located. Emre Tezmen, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tera Holding, stated in February that they had chosen three strategic sectors and would continue organic and inorganic growth in these areas. Tezmen announced that they were conducting negotiations for acquisitions and noted that they expect at least 5 billion TL in organic and inorganic investments this year. Stating that the company is financially rooted, that they have created an important platform that will offer full services in the financial sector, and that they are celebrating their 20th anniversary this year, Tezmen emphasized the importance of technological development in the financial sector. Tera Holding also added real estate investment to its portfolio this year and announced that they had acquired the parking lot behind City's in Nişantaşı for 2 billion TL. Tezmen stated that they are present in Qatar, Azerbaijan, and the Netherlands abroad, adding, "We will gradually move into other countries." Tezmen also said that they are monitoring local and national technology producers and have plans to include some of them in the group. Tezmen further added that a delegation from the USA had come to Turkey and discussed cooperation opportunities within the framework of economic diplomacy.
