Water Police Detain Two Poachers in the Caspian Sea

Employees of the Police Department for Water Transport of the Ministry of Internal Affairs continue anti-poaching measures in the Caspian Sea, including protected areas, national parks, and water basins within their service territory.

During the next operation carried out by the department's employees in this direction, 48-year-old Hashim Goychayev and 41-year-old Natig Isgandarov, who was previously convicted, were detained in the area called Qum Island in Surakhany district for engaging in illegal fishing.
During the inspection, 195 illegally caught fish, homemade hunting tools, and a boat equipped with a special engine were discovered from them. An investigation is being conducted regarding the incident.

Control and preventive measures are continued by water police, together with relevant state agencies, with the aim of protecting aquatic bioresources and ensuring ecological balance.
