The performance of famous rapper Snoop Dogg during the Olympic torch relay has caused a wide resonance on social media. This event, which combined sports and music, was also noted as part of the preparation process for the 2026 Winter Olympic Games.
Redaksiya reports that videos showing the rapper's relaxed run quickly spread online and were met with jokes as well as applause. The rapper, dressed in an official white uniform, walked out of the crowd and carried the torch from Via Pegoraro to Piazza Libertà, waved to students, and performed a few dance steps.
Snoop Dogg, already a familiar Olympic figure from Paris 2024, is part of NBC's Olympic team in preparation for Milano Cortina 2026. He has been appointed as the first honorary coach for the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee for 2026. Snoop Dogg met with athletes, including figure skater Ilia Malinin. Malinin performed a backflip in front of him and then took the torch, adding his own unique show to winter sports.
