The Israeli army has asked residents of Gaza City to leave the area. This step has drawn criticism from the international community, especially the Red Cross. According to reports, while this demand aims to ensure the safety of the population, its practical implementation seems difficult.
Redaksiya reports that the Red Cross has called this step "impossible and incomprehensible." According to the organization, safely evacuating hundreds of thousands of people creates logistical difficulties and could lead to additional loss of life. Israel, for its part, states that this step aims to ensure the safety of the civilian population and strike at Hamas positions.
International human rights defenders are investigating whether this step contradicts international humanitarian law. In their view, while ensuring the safety of the civilian population is important, mass displacement operations can create additional risks. In particular, issues such as the delivery of medical aid, food, and water during displacement raise serious concerns.
Against the backdrop of these events, the situation in the region is further escalating. Efforts for dialogue and a ceasefire between the parties have so far yielded no results. International organizations and states are calling on all parties to exercise restraint and ensure the safety of the civilian population.
