Redaksiya reports that, according to a statement from the Gaza Civil Defense Directorate, two workers' bodies and one injured person were found under the concrete walls of a collapsed structure while repair work was being carried out near the port. Civil Defense spokesperson Mahmoud Basal stated that teams receive dozens of warnings daily regarding cracks and partial collapses in numerous buildings, but there are no capabilities for investigation or urgent reinforcement. Basal also emphasized that thousands of buildings are at risk of collapsing at any moment due to the extensive destruction caused by recent Israeli attacks.
According to the Gaza government's Media Office, 90 percent of civilian infrastructure has been destroyed as a result of Israeli attacks. The damage is estimated to be approximately 70 billion dollars. Basal noted that the walls of the collapsed structure were damaged during previous Israeli bombardments and posed a risk of collapse. This situation further complicates and endangers the lives of people in the region.
