Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk and President Karol Navroçki have made headlines with mutual statements on the X platform. The dispute flared up after Navroçki presented the West, including Germany, as a potential threat to Poland, with the parties revealing their differing approaches to history.

The editorial reports that Karol Navroçki had previously stated that Poland was "ready to defend its western border," emphasizing that this referred to the border with Germany. He noted that Poland is an open national community to the West, but at the same time, border protection is considered necessary.

Donald Tusk, on the other hand, stated that Navroçki's portrayal of the West as the main threat was the wrong approach. In response, Navroçki accused Tusk of misunderstanding history and seeking confrontation to distract from domestic problems, and the discussion continued with brief but sharp retorts.

Observers believe that this open polemic has once again exposed political line differences within Poland and intensified discussions around the country's foreign policy priorities.
