Monitoring Conducted in 203 Facilities on Pesticide and Agrochemical Circulation

The Food Safety Agency continues its control measures over the production, storage, sale, and application of pesticides and agrochemical substances.

In accordance with the Work Plan for 2025–2026 of the “Coordination Commission for the Coordination of State Bodies' Activities in Ensuring the Safe Operation of Potentially Hazardous Facilities” established under the Cabinet of Ministers, monitoring was conducted in 203 facilities.

During the monitoring, the compliance of enterprises with technical safety and sanitary-hygiene requirements was assessed, samples were taken from suspicious product batches and subjected to laboratory examinations, and at the same time, the circulation of unregistered, prohibited-composition, unsealed, and expired preparations was prevented.

Thus, during the monitoring and inspections carried out in the first 3 months of 2026, a total of 146 types (805.5 kg/liter) of unusable pesticides and 62 types (3602.5 kg/liter) of agrochemical substances were discovered in 43 enterprises. Based on the relevant decisions of the Inventory Commission, these were sent to special landfills and safely neutralized.

The main purpose of the measures taken is to ensure safety in the circulation of pesticides and agrochemical substances, prevent counterfeiting, and ensure farmers' access to quality preparations.

The Agency calls on farmers and other users not to acquire expired, unsealed, or suspiciously sourced products. If suspicious, non-compliant, or low-quality products are encountered, it is recommended to inform the Agency's “1003 – Call Center”.
