Paramount has filed a lawsuit against Warner Bros. Discovery, casting doubt on a large-scale agreement the company made with Netflix. According to reports, the said agreement has further intensified the competitive environment in the media and entertainment industry.
The editorial office reports that Paramount considers the agreement signed by Warner Bros. Discovery with Netflix for $82.7 billion to be unsubstantiated. The company states that although its own offer of $108 billion was higher, the other party deemed it unsuitable, citing a number of problems with that offer.
Representatives for Warner Bros. Discovery stated that Paramount's offer was practically and strategically unacceptable. This stance has further deepened the disagreement between the companies.
