Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has stated that the potential collapse of Ukraine would create serious problems for his country. According to him, this scenario should be assessed not only as a regional threat but as one directly impacting national interests.

The editorial, citing its source, reports that Orbán emphasized Hungary's interest in preventing Ukraine's collapse and the need to take active steps in this direction. He noted that official Budapest cannot remain indifferent to this process.

In the Prime Minister's opinion, the ongoing war is not strengthening Ukraine; on the contrary, it is gradually destroying the country. Orbán stated that the prolongation of the conflict is dealing a heavy blow to Ukraine's state institutions and society.

He also noted that maintaining stability in the region is of strategic importance for Hungary and that Ukraine's weakening could jeopardize this stability.
