The state will cover the tuition fees of deminers' children.
This is reflected in the proposed amendment to the “Law on Education,” which was discussed today at the meeting of the Science and Education Committee of the Milli Majlis (National Assembly).
It was noted that this provides for the payment of tuition fees from the state budget for the children of deminers who died while carrying out demining activities, regardless of the form of ownership, during their education (excluding additional education) at Azerbaijani educational institutions on a paid basis.
According to the transitional provisions of this draft Law, the amendments, which are intended to be applied from September 15, 2026, also apply to the children of deminers who died while carrying out demining activities or lost their lives due to injuries sustained during such activities before the date this Law came into force (up to a maximum age of 23).
