Children Who Missed Vaccination to Be Immunized Next Week

Azerbaijan will host "Immunization Week" from April 19-25.

Information on this was provided by the Ministry of Health.

It was reported that Minister of Health Teymur Musayev signed an order in this regard.

According to the order, the organization of issues such as involving children who missed vaccination for any reason in the cities and regions of the republic in immunization within the framework of "Immunization Week", conducting monitoring in districts with particularly low vaccination coverage, providing methodological assistance to medical institutions carrying out children's vaccination in organizing immunization measures, and educating the public on this matter is envisaged.

During "Immunization Week", a series of events are planned to be held in several districts. Also, posters and information leaflets on various topics have been prepared for distribution to the public in the republic's medical departments and institutions.

It should be noted that "Immunization Week" has been held annually in the European region since 2006 at the initiative of the World Health Organization, and the Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan also joins this event.
