Billionaires' Financial Support for Elections: Trump's Policies Pose a Threat

As the US elections draw near, information regarding the political activities and financial support of billionaires has come to the forefront. This information, in particular, sheds light on the activities of individuals and organizations with significant influence in the political arena. Such information raises questions about the transparency of the electoral process and the role of finance in decision-making.

Redaksiya reports that billionaires in the White House and their spouses have donated over $52 million to Trump, as well as pro-Trump political committees and the Republican National Committee during the 2024 election campaign. Additionally, Elon Musk, founder of SpaceX and former head of the US Department of Government Efficiency, has invested over $294 million to support the current US president and other Republicans in 2024.

In an article for "The Hill," writer and executive director of the President's Climate Action Project, William S. Becker, notes that Trump lacks the temperament, mental stability, and moral principles required for the presidency. He believes that the US leader has become the most dangerous person in the world. According to Becker, Trump's corrupted moral values, hyperactive testosterone, sycophantic staff, pathological narcissism, and extraordinary presidential powers make him an open and direct threat to the republic and the world. This mix of factors becomes even more unstable with the surrender of Congress and the Supreme Court's decision that he is above the law.

It was previously reported in "The Washington Post" that Donald Trump's administration was the wealthiest in the country's modern history in terms of the total wealth of its members. As of March 2025, the total wealth of 12 billionaires in the American administration exceeded $390 billion. The calculations did not include the wealth of the US president himself ($5.1 billion). Becker recalled that last week Trump and Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth threatened military intervention in Venezuela. He emphasized that the US president justifies this with questionable interpretations of his powers, undisclosed legal memorandums, and unexplained evidence.

During Donald Trump's first term as president, he was surrounded by advisors who curbed his authoritarian tendencies. Now, he has become the most dangerous person in the world. There are no longer such people around the American leader. According to Becker, some Republicans believe Trump has gone too far. He stated that all Americans should be wary that the current White House head's policies could lead to nuclear war. In the opinion of the article's author, Trump has become a serious threat to the US and the entire world.
