MP of the Milli Majlis Azer Badamov has joined the "End Early Slaughter" awareness campaign carried out by the Food Safety Agency.
According to the MP, the early slaughter of lambs leads to a sharp decrease in the number of local breeds. The current situation, however, necessitates the supply of animal meat from abroad. Therefore, it is very important for people to be enlightened through this campaign.
"One of the main reasons underlying this decrease is related to the slaughter of cattle and small ruminants at an early age. Naturally, this is unacceptable. Because lamb and veal do not reach the required biological level at an early age. That is, muscle mass is not accumulated. This situation also sharply affects the decrease in the number of cattle and small ruminants. To prevent this from happening, there must be new calls. The calls are that the slaughter of small ruminants should be carried out after six to nine months," the deputy said.
Azer Badamov called for every member of society to join this action.
