Alternative bus routes will be organized to ensure uninterrupted passenger transportation during the reconstruction and line separation period of the metro network.

Anar Rzayev, a member of the Board of Directors of the Azerbaijan National Agency of Surface Transport (AYNA), stated this during a roundtable discussion dedicated to the implementation of the "State Program for the Improvement of Transport Infrastructure in Baku and its Surroundings for 2025–2030" over the past year.

He noted that in some directions, passengers may need to make additional transfers and change transportation, which could lead to congestion within the metro.

"If passenger flow is not properly regulated, congestion will occur within the metro, and it will not be possible to reduce the movement interval of trains. Therefore, we are implementing alternative transportation solutions."

Rzayev stated that based on calculations, it is planned to temporarily transport a certain passenger flow by buses:

"For this purpose, 11 temporary bus routes will be established. These routes will primarily ensure connections along intensive directions such as 'Nizami–28 May' and 'Əcəmi–28 May'. Buses will compensate for any limitations that may arise in the metro's operation." (APA)
