Meta's short-form video product, Reels, has rapidly solidified its position in the digital advertising market, achieving significant financial indicators. The company's latest results show that Reels is now competing at the same level as leading platforms.

According to the editorial report, based on Meta's financial statement for October 2025, the Reels platform's annual revenue stream has exceeded $50 billion. This figure forms the projection of earning that amount in revenue over the next 12 months.

Information indicates that Reels' financial growth has been remarkably rapid. While the platform's revenue was at the $1 billion level in the second quarter of 2022, it has risen above $50 billion in the third quarter of 2025. Meta's management attributes this leap to the effectiveness of its artificial intelligence-based recommendation systems.

According to the company's CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, advanced algorithms provide users with more relevant content. This has led to a more than 30 percent year-over-year increase in video viewing time on the Instagram platform. Meta plans to bring Reels to wider screens in the future, including television platforms.
