The Ministry of Justice has launched the “Online Registration of Visits with Inmates” service to facilitate the more flexible organization of visits with inmates.
The ministry provided information on this.
According to the information, the new service allows visitors to apply online for visits with inmates, select the time and type of visit, pre-register gifts intended to be brought during the visit, and monitor the status of their application in real-time.
The main purpose of the service is to digitalize the process of registering visits with inmates, increase citizen satisfaction, and minimize document circulation in penitentiary institutions.
“Online Registration of Visits with Inmates” service is available on the official website of the Ministry of Justice in the “Electronic Services” section. Visitors can access the service and apply by filling in the required information.
Firstly, identification is carried out using “myGov ID” or the series and number of the identity card. Then, an online form for the visit (type of visit, institution, date, participants, etc.) is filled out, and information regarding gifts to be brought is added. The application is then sent to the relevant penitentiary institution of the Ministry of Justice. The institution reviews the application, and upon approval, an SMS notification is sent to the citizen. Visits are conducted only on the pre-determined date and time.
Currently, the electronic service has been launched on a pilot basis at Correctional Facility No. 4. The service will be gradually implemented in all penitentiary institutions of the Ministry of Justice.
It should be noted that the new electronic service transfers the interaction between citizens and penitentiary institutions to a digital environment, ensuring transparent, fast, and traceable management of visit applications.
