On February 11, 2026, the Yasamal District Court deemed the decision made by the Chamber of Appraisers of Azerbaijan regarding the "Azərekspertiza" Union unlawful.
According to information provided by the "Azərekspertiza" Union, the court's decision ruled that the Chamber's registration of "Azərekspertiza" as an "appraisal organization whose activities have been suspended" on its official portal was unlawful.
Furthermore, it was decided that a retraction text should be published on the official website of the Chamber of Appraisers, and that the "Azərekspertiza" Union of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Azerbaijan should be added to the list of "appraisal organizations".
During the investigation, it was determined that, in accordance with the Law "On Appraisal Activities," the Chamber of Appraisers, as a non-profit legal entity, is not authorized by law to terminate the activities of appraisal organizations, liquidate them, or take other measures.
It was stated that transparency and legal trust are the foundation of the appraisal activity sector and the main guarantee of the stability of the entire system: "It is precisely for these purposes that the Chamber of Appraisers of Azerbaijan was established. However, we must sadly note that today we are witnessing the opposite process. The organization that is supposed to protect the law has begun to violate it itself. The "Azərekspertiza" Union, which has been operating in this field for over 50 years, considers the court's decision significant in terms of ensuring the supremacy of law and legal certainty in the field of appraisal, and will use legal means to protect its rights if such violations occur again in the future."
