Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, made a statement regarding Austria's neutrality status and NATO.
The editorial office reports that Medvedev stated in his declaration that Europe is “addicted to militarism”:
“States are flying towards the flame of NATO like butterflies. Brussels is now pressuring Austria to abandon its neutrality.”
He also warned:
“Does Austria want to make itself a target for Russia?”
Medvedev's statements once again demonstrated the ongoing tense relations between NATO and Moscow.
