An event was held on ARB24 TV channel regarding the results of monitoring on the protection of the Azerbaijani language.
The editorial office reports that the monitoring was carried out in connection with the tasks set by President Ilham Aliyev for journalists regarding the protection of the Azerbaijani language.
ARB 24 has been conducting internal on-air monitoring for 4 years, and problems are being resolved, stated the channel's director, Radik Ismayilov:
"After President Ilham Aliyev's address to journalists regarding the protection of the Azerbaijani language, the process has accelerated further, and on-air control has been strengthened."
R. Ismayilov announced the results of the monitoring and called on the editorial staff to be more attentive. Discussions were held at the meeting on the topic of protecting the Azerbaijani language.
Then, the floor was given to the channel's director's advisor and head of department at BSU, Aynur Nəsirova, to explain the problems identified during the monitoring and the work to be done to resolve them. A. Nəsirova provided detailed information on the key points to be considered during the editing process, based on the results of the monitoring conducted:
"The correct spelling of words in media texts, and the construction of sentences that are simple, clear, and understandable are important factors. Foreign terms can only be used in necessary cases and in the correct context."
Finally, it was decided to organize regular training sessions regarding errors.
