Applications and accompanying documents for participation in the competition are submitted electronically via the mib.media.gov.az portal to the Media Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

It was stated that the main condition of the competition is to submit material published or broadcast within the last 3 months up to the date of the competition announcement.
Materials submitted for the competition:
Journalists submit any article published in print media and online media subjects within the last 3 (three) months up to the date of the competition announcement for the competition under only one of the following nominations:
– best reportage;
– best socio-political analysis;
– best socio-economic analysis;
– best interview;
– best cultural material;
– best column;
– best journalistic investigation;
– best feature story.
Journalists submit their story/segment, broadcast in an audiovisual media subject within the last 3 (three) months up to the date of the competition announcement, with a maximum duration (chronometry) of 5 (five) minutes, for the competition under only one of the following nominations:
– best socio-political reportage;
– best socio-economic reportage;
– best thematic (sports, culture, etc.) reportage.
The evaluation of materials is carried out by 3 (three) independent experts engaged by the Media Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
At the end of the competition, 5 (five) journalists for each of the nominations intended for articles, and 5 (five) journalists and 5 (five) operators for each of the nominations intended for stories/segments are declared winners and awarded.
Applications for the competition will be accepted until November 7, 2025, 18:00.
