In his statement, Macron emphasized that such a step would drag the region into permanent war. He noted that a further escalation of the conflict in Gaza would lead to tragic consequences for both Palestinians and Israelis.
According to Macron, the only operation that could stop the war would be to ensure a permanent ceasefire in Gaza and the release of all hostages.
The French leader called on the international community to demonstrate a more decisive stance for the establishment of peace.
