Investigations continue regarding the theft that occurred at the famous Louvre Museum in Paris. This incident, which took place on October 19, attracted attention as it occurred in one of the world's most famous museums. Redaksiya reports that Paris prosecutor Laure Beccuau has made statements regarding the value of the stolen jewelry. It was stated that the museum management estimated the total value of the stolen jewelry to be approximately 88 million euros. The prosecutor emphasized that it would be difficult for the thieves to obtain this amount, noting that they would not be able to preserve this value if they melted the jewelry.
It has been confirmed that four people have been involved in the investigation related to the incident. Authorities are reportedly conducting a detailed investigation into the fingerprints found at the scene. The theft occurred in the morning hours at the Louvre Museum. The thieves entered the museum using a freight elevator on the exterior of the building. Breaking a window, the thieves entered the Apollo Gallery, where the Royal jewels were exhibited, and stole nine artifacts. During their escape, a crown belonging to Empress Eugenie, wife of Napoleon III, fell, was damaged, and was found outside the museum. It is noted that the theft lasted only 7 minutes and the thieves escaped on motorcycles.
