US President Trump has officially signed the cryptocurrency law, dubbed the “GENIUS” Act.
The editorial office reports that Trump stated this law makes the US dollar appear “strong, robust, and secure”: “Cryptocurrency has made our dollar look good and strong. This is beneficial for both the dollar and our country.” He added that “crypto has gained more value than any stock price.”
Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong called Trump’s signature “the official start of a financial revolution in the US.” The company’s shares ($COIN) reached a new record for the first time since 2021.
Furthermore, Charles Schwab, a company managing $10 trillion in assets, announced it would launch Bitcoin and Ethereum trading services.
Mastercard management, meanwhile, stated that stablecoins have the ability to make cross-border payments faster and cheaper.
Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev stated that “crypto and artificial intelligence will shape the future of every industry.”
