The operating permits of two taxi drivers in Istanbul, who withdrew 36,000 TL from a tourist's credit card and demanded 400,000 TL from another person, have been revoked. This incident is related to taxi drivers illegally demanding high amounts of money from customers and is causing serious problems in Istanbul's transportation system.

Redaksiya reports that with the decision taken by UKOME (Transportation Coordination Center), serious sanctions, including the revocation of permits, will be applied against taxi drivers who demand excessive prices and do not open the taximeter. This decision aims to improve the quality of taxi services in the city and protect the rights of customers.

If taxi drivers wish to obtain an operating permit again, they will be required to pay a fee of 15,000 TL and participate in training sessions. This measure is intended to ensure that drivers behave more responsibly towards customers and comply with the law. Such measures are planned to continue to make taxi services in Istanbul more transparent and reliable.
