A leaked Israeli military intelligence database has revealed that the vast majority of Palestinians killed in Gaza until May 2025 were civilians.
Redaksiya reports that, according to documents obtained by The Guardian, only 17 percent of the deceased – 8,900 people – were registered as armed combatants. The remaining 83 percent – approximately 53,000 people – are civilians.
The data shows that large-scale casualties have occurred among the civilian population as a result of Israel's military operations in Gaza. This fact has further increased the international community's concerns about the humanitarian crisis in the region and raised serious questions about the nature of the operations.
